Those working with logos, information graphics and other forms of illustrative artwork as part of their job role occasionally, or on a day-to-day basis. Learning how to use professional vector editing software correctly can be hugely rewarding, cost effective and time-saving. This course looks at not only the fundamental skills required to create manage and edit vector artwork, but also a sound introduction to the concepts of vector graphics and their implementation within the design process. If you are a complete beginner you have the opportunity to acquire good habits and avoid time consuming and costly mistakes. Managing the Workspace

This module looks at the characteristics of vector graphics and how they differ from digital photographs. Become familiar with the interface and how to modify its appearance to suite your workflow requirements.

Learn how to open, setup and manage document size, orientation, format and page properties.

Selecting and editing

Before you can edit vector graphics you must first know how to select, place and arrange them on the artboards. Including techniques for hiding, locking and duplicating objects.

Drawing and building

One of the fundamental skills of authoring vector graphics is an ability to master "The Pen" tool. In this module you will explore ways in which custom shapes can be drawn and edited efficiently. Learn how to create simple shapes, lines  and grid objects with preset line tools
